We wanted to give a little update on how things are going so far. Jessica has been in and out of the hospital due to pre-term labor. She was contracting on Wed. the 12th and the on-call MD had us go into to the hospital. We took Kinsie with us at midnight and the monitored Jessica and decided to give her a shot of Terbutaline to stop the contractions. That worked and they sent us home. Sunday night we went back in for the same thing. This time it took 2 shots of the Terbutaline and they sent us home with oral meds. Jessica took the medications and on Monday morning she was still contracting so the MD had us go back to St. Luke's downtown in Boise. By this time, the routine was getting a little old. But the baby is doing well and Jessica is ok. She is now on bed rest and probably will remain on it for the duration of the pregnancy. She has a MD appointment on Wed. and we'll find out more info. on want he wants her to do. In the meantime Jessica's spirits are good and Kinsie will be well taken care of by her grandma. If you wish you may remember Jessica and the baby in your prayers.
MD Appointment:
Jessica's MD appointment went well. He seemed not too concerned about the fact that Jessica was contracting. She's on bedrest for 2 weeks until she gets to 36 weeks then she's back to full activity. Good news is that she is not dialating. Meaning that the MD will not perform a procedure unless she is actively in labor and dialating. Even though the contrations haven't stopped things should be fine and the baby is fine as well.

Hello Jensens, I hope Jessica will be able to stay pregnant for a few more weeks. That's good that the Terbutaline has been working some and she's on medications. I hope bedrest works and that she and the baby will be healthy and happy when the baby comes! I'm sure this is a scary time for you but modern technology is so amazing! Your baby will be well taken care of it comes early. I hope that everything goes smoothly and you have support from nearby family and friends. We'll be praying for you!
Hang in there...you'll be in our prayers.
We'll be praying for you. Keep us updated.
So you're trying to beat us to the finish line, huh? At times bed rest sounds pretty good to me. Hopefully it won't be too much torture for you. Good thing it's just two weeks. Hopefully all goes well, we'll be praying.
Her and the baby are in our prayers.
* Sorry this is happening! What a bummer! Wish I could help in some other way. :)
