So yesterday was a day from ....well you know..not a good day! Kinsie was slamming doors, throwing temper tantrums..even putting all of Ella's dirty diapers in my closet! I keep thinking how hard it is sometimes to have more than one child...even one can be hard! Thinking of how I wish sometimes that they were older and in school so I could have some peace and quite and not have to listen to so much crying and whining. :) But then I think of how much I would miss out on. They do grow up too fast and one of these days I'm going to miss the crying, whining, and begging for me to hold them. One day they won't want me to hold them, or kiss or love on them! How sad would that be? Even though we sometimes have harder days, days where I don't know what I was thinking having children :)...I realize that my time with them is short. I love my children! And one day I will miss this!! This is my favorite song by Trace Adkins...It sums everything up!
She was staring out the window of their SUV
Complaining, saying "I can't wait to turn 18"
She said "I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules"
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said "I was just like you"
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her "It's a nice place"
She says "It'll do for now"
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says "Baby, just slow down"
Cause you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin'
One kid's cryin', one kid's screamin'
And she keeps apologizin'
He says "They don't bother me.
I've got 2 babies of my own.
One's 36, one's 23.
Huh, it's hard to believe, but...
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this"

I love your post, it is so true. My girls are always asking me to hold them and sometimes it's alot to hold 4 girls and do all the other stuff we do but I'll be so sad when they don't want me to hold them anymore. At my baby shower a lady said she just wished she held her kids more when they were young and I think about that all the time!
Jessica, congrats on the new addition. She is so precious.:)

I definitely know what you mean :) I love that song too. Helps me keep everything in perspective! Hope you have a great week and enjoy it while you have it :) And I love Ella's hair, by the way. She's a doll!
True, true, my baby left for a mission. I remember when Ben would crawl up into my lap, he'd grab my arms, and wrap them around him. I always thought that was so funny. Now he's gone and no matter how hard I stretch them my arms won't go to New York and wrap around him! You are a cute little mom Jessica and your little girls are darling!
